need .308 help

I'm looking to buy a .308 and was wondering if anyone can give some good people to buy from who has one for sale or a good place to buy one from. I'm looking at the savage if possible (not to sure if that is a good one to buy or not)

I live in Rankin Inlet Nunavut Canada

Sorry i should have added that I would like SS heavy barrel if possable new or used if the price is right.

I had a hassel free experience with Wholesale sports... for both my savage 12FV rifles... ordered via mail...

You could also register for the CGN exchange forum and see what sort of used rifles turn up. Otherwise, P & D, Wholesale Sports, Russels, SIR.... there are a lot of mail order shops that can provide you with a 308.

The savage, stevens 200 ($320), remington 700SPS($499) are all good value for money in my books.

I have had fine transactions with Russell Sports, Wholesale, SIR and Ellwood Epps using mail order to buy guns.

As above, you could sign up for the exchange forum. Not many good deals anymore but once in a blue moon one somes along. With the low initial price of the SPS most of the used stuff is not worth the asking price.
