What caliber you reboring?? Curious. Looking at getting a 30-06 into a 338-06. Called Corlanes and they are getting me a price.

I have a .338 neck and throat reamer. I chamber to the correct headspace with a .338 piloted 30-06 reamer ( removable piloted reamer) and then cut the neck and throat separately...

There are places online that will rent you reamers. Not too bad a price, something like $35 for 3 days.

these places that rent reamers do not ship to Canada. Ripped off too many times with guys keeping the reamers. not like they can come get them from you.

I can buy one from Kiff for about $100 but I only have to do one chamber...but then again, I have a whole box of reamers that have only cut one chamber.....257 Bob and 221 Fireball come to mind.....

What barrel are you reaming to the '06, a new one or a .338-08? If its new, how much are they going for?

If you are reaming a 308 body to a 30-06 body you need to cut a lot of the 308 chamber off as the 308 is considerably fatter than the 30-06 case is at the same depth...

It's a new 338 10 twist blank.......Ted Gaillard needs about $350 for one.....
