Need .45ACP Reload help

"...Lead SWC..." Your barrel chamfered to use SWC's?

Um, this is the first I've heard of this. Did you mean chambered, or chamfered? I just loaded 20 rounds of 175gr LSWC in .40S&W, is there something I should know?

edit: do you mean just for lead, or any type of SWC? 'cause I shot some handloaded jacketed SWC in my 1911 the other day, worked great...

Shot'em today, worked great. I guess my barrel is chamfered to use SWC.

Cerdan I bet you, your handgun was not modified.:D

The only question here, is some-one elses ill-begotten information.....:)

Of the four or five 1911s I have handled and shot, they all fed/shot SWC, H&G #68 without mods, no problem.

Now hollow points are a different story, the bigger the hollow point, the more apt it is to not feed right on un-modded guns.

You know what works for you so rock-on.
