Need 6" Colt Python barrel

A friend needs (wants) a 6" .357 barrel for a Colt Python. Does anyone know if they are available?

I went through this. Try this guy. Johnsons Enterprises, Grants Pass Oregon. 541 956 0100. If he can't help you you'll probably need a gunsmith to make one.

Numrich Arms stocks them, but it looks like they are sold out of 6" right now, (but have some 8").

I think barrels are one of the things the BATF / State Dept won't allow to be exported..but I could be wrong..

Barrels,frames, cylinders for sure won't be exported. I know that for sure.

"...a gunsmith to make one..." That'd cost a fortune.
Exporting a barrel from the U.S. requires the export permit that requires an import permit to get.
Numrich is listing 6" SS Python barrels with no sights as 'in stock' for $223US. I'd be contacting a Colt warrantee shop.

For Python Barrels, there are 2 styles of threads. Roughly pre/post 1994 manufacture. Make sure you get the right one.

New Python barrels in the US go for around $150
