There's two bits of info I would like to know that I can't find on the internet for some reason. What is the length of the BULLET (not cartridge) and what is it's maximum range?

The reason you probably can't find that info, is that the answer is "it depends".

The bullets would vary depending on the manufacture's specs, but most of the 123 to 125 grain stuff loaded in 7.62x39 would be vaguely around 0.85-ish inches (or at least that's what the 123 grain Hornady's I load in mine measure out at).

"Maximum range", again, depends heavily on what you mean by that. Maximum range for hunting deer, probably around 250 yards is pushing it pretty far. However, the bullet stays super-sonic out to around 600 yards, so a maximum range for target shooting, probably around 600 yards (assuming you have a rifle chambered in 7.62x39 that shoots well enough to hit the broadside of a barn at that range -- most won't). Or, if you just aim the gun up at a prodigious angle and fling a bullet up into the air, it would probably go a couple of miles before it returned to earth.
