Need a 6.5 CM load for Stag 10

Hi looking for a 6.5 Creedmoor recipe for use in my Stag 10. I reload .223 but never anything else. Looking for recommendations for:

Brass. I understand there’s small and large primer brass for 6.5 CM (Lapua or Hornady?)
Primers. Not sure what to use. Do some brands seat in better?
Powder. Prefer a more readily available brand.
Bullets. Mostly will just be target shooting. Hopefully out way further than my .223!

And OAL seating as well as any other tips or tricks would be appreciated. Thanks!

Lapua = SRP
Hornady = LRP
I’ve tested both in my Bolt 6.5 CM and found no difference.
Varget is my go to powder, works well in 6.5 CM and .223 and really good prices at Higgenson.
Just go off 6.5 CM loads in a manual and start low, work up.
Your OAL will basically be determined by your mag. ( if they don’t fit in the mag, then they’re a no go).
CCI primers are good.
Hornady SST are good as well plus they have a crimping groove?

H4350 and reloader 16 are good for 6.5. Lapua brass is probably a better choice. My hornady has loose primer pockets after not a lot of firings. ELD-Ms have performed well in my 6.5 creed. 140 SMK are good as well

A stag 10 is going to destroy Lapua brass. If you want something better than Hornady look at starline srp. Srp will withstand higher pressure loads better. I have found semis like lighter bullets in the 123 to 130 g range. Especially if you are rifle length gas. H4350 for powder.

I use starline large primer brass, CCI 200 primers, and so far H4350. I also have a 308 upper so I went with lrp brass so I didn't have to keep another set of primers around. If you reload 223 already you might want to do the opposite. The CCI primers are a remnant from my time with an M305... I was afraid of slam fires and heard that the CCI primers were slightly harder so I've been using them in all semi's ever since.

Thanks for the info guys. I might look into starline brass. I know a semi is harder on brass. Is there a certain primer to get with tougher “skin” to reduce the risk of slam fires. I read another post on this forum about someone having an out of battery discharge. Want to avoid that!

I run Hornady brass (cause I have tons and don't care if I lose it) CCI 200 primers, Hornady 140gr ELDMs and H4350 (although I'm out and trying to find a substitute). My Stag is real easy on brass but that's cause I built it with an adjustable gas block and tuned it. If yours is a stock Stag-10 then I'd try and get some cheap once fired Hornady brass and use that because the factory guns are way over-gassed and just chew up the brass.

+1 chews up brass. The one I had beat the crap out of brass. Shot extremely well with norma golden bullet 130's over h4350 in hornady brass, fed 210 LRP. Also did well with 123 gr SSTs same brass and primers - can not recall the powder but it was not h4350 - Sold it to fund other projects. Tried other projectiles but mine really liked the NGB.
