In the market for a new day pack. I had a external frame pack but it was to much of a pack for what i need. So im looking for recommendations on a new pack. Thinking about something with an internal frame. Was looking at the badlands 2200 as well as a few packs from alps outdoorz. Not set on those two brands so if anyone reccomends something different im all ears.

If you are willing to cough up the cash, I'd recommend the Mystery Ranch Pop-Up. It comes in either 18L or 28L and is a phenomenal pack that opens up to haul meat as well. I'm a big Mystery Ranch fan and have personally owned them. You can usually find good deals used on rokslide.com as well!

Depends on what you want in a day pack, Mystery Ranch Divide may suit. Personally I've gone Eberlestock route and they have lots of nice options too for day packs. I use a modular setup, with a Warhammer, Little Brother, Fanny Top and Spike Duffel.

I currently use the Badlands Point Pack (now discontinued) for day trips and the 2200 for a weekend trip. Both are great packs and the Badlands warranty is awesome! Some of my friends use Mystery Ranch and those look very well built.

For what it's worth, I've been using a Hill People Gear Aston House Backcountry pack. It's a 48 litre pack that compresses down nicely and it has a capture flap on the back that's nice for irregularly shaped objects. (Pretty much perfect if you're out hunting sheds.) Their harness is second to none - I'll often put 60 lbs in it and go for a walk and it makes weight disappear on my shoulders. I wear a pack a lot for work and this is the best I've ever used.
