Hi my name is Chris Johnston, I got back from afghanistan this year and at some friends urging bought a few guns. They have all since been posted out and were supposed to teach me to hunt or at least show me the basic ropes. I have been going to range and already started making my own rounds but once again no one to show me where to hunt etc etc. Even if someone is willing to go for gophers, or coyotes or something small....Ill take anything. Im located in Petawawa 2 hours west of ottawa but free to go anywhere between here and toronto.

there is a gun club, but so many ppl deploying then coming back then getting posted etc, no ones is sure whos in charge not to mention range control are anal.
 
there is an outdoors club in pembroke and what pm me with what unit your in i may be able to help you out i only hunt waterfowl and varmits
 
I could probably hook you up with a field goose hunt once the corn comes off over here. You would need a shotgun capable of shooting steel shot, other than that I have extras of all the other gear you would need. I'm about 20mins west of Orillia ( hwy17 to North Bay, hwy 11 to Orillia, hwy 12 to Coldwater). It's a bit of a drive (but no further than T.O.). PM me if your interested.

Now now Colin, that's not very sociable of you! Besides, the magnum would have to be a short mag or they will instantly make him as a noobsausage!
 
Our camp is full, but I could tell you where to watch for deer if your interested. Lots of crown around where we hunt and a few deer. Not to far from pembroke and you could drive close to some good spots and not many hunters around. Second monday in November.
 
I'm in Ottawa. No camp for deer but I'm out and about from fall until spring. Deer might be a pain in the ass this year (lotsa people out here and not much land), might have a good spot tho ... still working on it. Grouse as long as I can and coyote if the weather cooperates. Rabbits and foxes all the time. Crow too .... I hunt everything that's got a season lol

I'm literally out all the time hunting one thing or another. Offers open to tag along if you wanna make the drive out here. Might make a couple runs out near calabogie this year too so it'd be pretty much half way.
