I have a mint shape Colt Trooper Mk III in .357. The cylinder release is still however with some gentle manipulation it has allowed the cylinder to release. Now when the trigger is pressed, the cylinder rotates perfectly however the hammer does not #### in double action mode. Any recommendations ? I have used other smiths in the past and damage to firearms finish has resulted. Looking for someone who can fix this revolver while keeping it's finish immaculate as possible. Ben

Sounds like the double action flu spring on the hammer has failed, or the double action sear has broken off the trigger.

If single action seems to function normally, it's hopefully just the hammer.

Jerry Kuhnhausen's manual for these, and a good set of screwdrivers will help you figure out your problem. I don't know of any good Colt revolversmiths in Canada anymore, sorry. - dan
