Need a handgun recommendation

For my first purchase I dont want to deal with any online shopping so I'll check around, see if any local stores sell any SAMs.

I have actually been wondering, how does the purchase of a handgun online work? Where would you pick it up? Or would it be delivered to your house/ local post office?
 
get one of these and call it a day......

I was really fond of the 1911 grip but not the actual platform, so I got a CZ75B, they feel very similar in the hand, angle and dimensions. Double action, double stack, 9mm, can handle the hotter 9mm no problem because they are a European gun.

9mm is cheaper than .45 and with the right ammo still packs enough punch to not take a hit in IPSC.

They are also very, very affordable on the used market on here, I think I paid in the neighbourhood of $600 for mine used and it had lots of mags and accessories.
 
Consider this..............

If you are a purist and worship the lineage of the 45ACP and 1911 – buy a Colt
If you want a 45 in a 1911 style that has some class – buy a North American gun, S&W, Ruger, Spingfiled, Remington etc
If you just want a 45 1911 and don’t care about the above (you’ll regret it later) buy any cheap gun you want.

My choice is the Ruger SR 1911. My name is on a few wait lists at about $750.
