Need a little help placing value on a Winchester 1300 defender.

So my neighbor asked me what he should sell his gun for. It's a Winchester 1300 defender in good shape but has seen use so there is wear in the spots you would expect. He has a side folding wire stock and a pump with a vertical grip as well as the original stock and pump. I figure 300$ but that's just a guess. any help would be appreciated.

Surprisingly the go for about 350-400 some nutz think they're worth gold because they are stamped made in USA unlike the new SXP.

Theyre worth about the same as they were new. The last 1300 I bought on here was a black synthetic 1300 turkey model with rail red dot and original stock, also ATI pistol grip full stock. (sold that for $50) paid $450 shipped.

This was before November 2017. I wouldn't pay more than $400 for a defender as you can't swap barrels.
 
Open your eyes and have a REAL look at what is available, anybody quoting prices anywhere near $400 for this less than remarkable gun has got to be a dealer who is stuck with one!!!!!

LOL, I've got 3 1300s I've had 1200s, 2200s not a single one has ever failed they fit better than 870s or Mossbergs and function better than both of those guns. They aren't all plastic like the giant benellis either.
 
They're not worth selling. I paid $150.00 for one 10 years ago, I'd estimate they're worth $300'ish now. I've owned a 1200 and a 1300, and find they function just as well as an 870.
