I am a big guy with long arms and it is uncomfortable for me to fire shorter .22's. the .22 I am shooting with is now is a browning bl-22 lever action (not mine) Since I can now buy my own i would perfer an accurate and long .22lr rifle (longer that B-22) If anyone has any sudjestions i would appreciate them. I am looking for either a semi auto or a bolt action. I've heard alot of great things about the accuracy of the cz 452 but nothing about the length of the gun. I am looking to spend between 400 - 600 on just the gun.

22lr rifle

I have a brno #4 which is a full size rifle that is caomparable in size and length to my centerfires. also the mossberg us44b just to name a couple.

I was at TNT Gunworks in Regina today and I just happened to notice a 10\22 with some sort of a stock with an adjustable recoil pad. I didn't look at it close up but it looked like it had a long range of adjustment. There must have been 3-4 inches gap between the stock and pad, it looked kind of neat. If you called there I'm sure they could tell you about it.

Look in to a ruger 10/22 and a tapco T6 stock.

I've got a T6 on my 10/22 and I can make it quite long with the butt fully extended.

Bigger guy

Chez I too am on the taller side and I have several of the Limbsaver slip on recoil pads. I just leave a couple in the truck, usually a med and a small these two cover most rifles butt stock sizes. I use them on every gun I shoot. FS

Check with the manf sites for specs but I would suggest the new Rems, CZ, and restocked 10/22.

There are a few stock makers that make full sized stocks for rimfires even custom lengths. Might be a good plan B.

Many good suggestions posted here. Have a look at the Browning T-Bolt (sister-in-law has one) I am 6'3" and the length is pretty comfortable even for me. They are pricy, but the fit and finish and accuracy is very good. This is a good time of year to hit all the gun shops in your area and put their 22's up to your shoulder.

full size 22LR

Hello, I'm 6'5" and I have the same problem as you. I have 2 Mossberg 46b 22 LR. They each fit me like a large rifle and they are real good shooters too. Plus, with the long tube mag, if in a good patch of gophers, you can load it on Monday and shoot 'til Sunday. 20 rnd tubes. I really like mine, Eric
