need a price on a Russian SKS

Ok, so I finally met the guy I know selling this Russian SKS. All parts have matching numbers, the wood is not cracked and in very good cond. though has some handling marks, it was made in 1950, non-chrome barrel, but barrel looks good with very strong rifeling, the non removable mag (edit by mod). It is not blued but is black, and the flat blade is silver in color. He wants $400 for the rifle with the sling, tool kit, a like new bandoleer that holds 200 rounds, and 300 rounds of corrosive ammo. $400 sounds a bit high to me... what do you guys think ????

I think you need to be careful what you say on the Web.

$400's reasonable, try to haggle him down a bit.

The early 1950 models with non chrome bore and firing pin springs are somewhat scarcer in the realm of Russian SKS. These also have a slightly different bolt design.

I have no intention of leaving it unpinned if I buy this rifle. Calum has already explained to me a way to fix the mag so it is legal. I should have mentioned this in my first post.
