need a restricted length barrel made

a friend has a pistol that is prohib and i would like to know who makes barrels so he could change the class to resticted so i could buy it. it is a taurus. looks identical to a beretta.

I'm assuming that it's a Beretta 92 clone?
Would it not be more feasible to buy one that is not 12(6) instead of trying to alter the barrel length and possibly the slide?

Gun Parts might stock such a barrel already, that doesn't have to be modified. They had one for my S&W59 to make change it from prohib to restricted. I not sure about Beretta/Taurus clones.
