Hey guys, I'm looking for a pic from the top of a rear mauser sight assembly. I'm trying to figure out if I got the right rear sight on mine and if I just need the screw and piece to hold the back of the top handgaurd down.

In front of the rear sight, gaff found what I was looking for....

Might just leave this one alone and shoot it till the barrel falls off!
 
there are lots of the rear sights you need in gunsmiths junk bins. thousands of these were turned in to hunting rifles. there the same as the WWII German ones.the front sight is the same as the German one also.
 
Agreed, you should be able to get a sightbase easily.
Post an ad here, or gunboards, etc.
Or even ebay. Installing it is another matter.
