now, if youwere considering a rifle stock for your .22-250 what would you choose? I have been looking at boydds again for a thumbhole stock. Which colour--- nutmeg or pepper laminate?

It will be going on a stevens model 200.


I have also been looking at bell and carlson http://www.bellandcarlson.com/

Are there any other websites I should be checking out? Are there any Canadian:canadaFlag: companies which make laminate or synthetic stocks I should check out?


I just may end up going with boydds again, but I want to hear your input..

I just put a jrs pepper laminate on my 22-250 and love the look and feel of it.... say isn't that the same hardware on you 7-08? Go with the same stock and both rifles will feel the same when you shoot them.:D
 
The Bell and Carlson Duramaxx stock is a great value for the money. Numrich had them on sale recently, maybe still do. They fit the Savage 110 so I assume should be useable on the Stevens.

This all started when I got to hold a savage 17 hmr with the thumbhole/stainless steel/target barrell/nutmeg laminate.

the 22-250 is gonna wear a thumbhole stock I just need to decide which one. Thanks for your opinion though. I can always put that one on my .22-250 and thumbhole on the 7-08.

I love these stevens rifles. I think I may pick up a timney for the .22-250 as well.
 
My two bits: pepper laminate goes better with stainless, nutmeg with blued. I'd go for the Richards Microfit this time around since you've already got a Boyd's, just for something different. Last time I checked, Timney doesn't make a trigger for the Stevens, but SSS does. So, Stevens 200 in Richard's Microfit with SSS trigger, pillar mounted and glass bedded. And get the action/barrel matt finished. Should have a shooter and a looker :D
