Need advice on FF Handguard for my 7.5" AR Build

I've been looking and looking, and am realizing hand guards are among the many parts that are becoming hard to find these days. Was going to see what others of you out there who have built shorty AR's are using for free floating hand guards, and where they can be found haha.

its my own build. Here's what I've got into it so far.

- Motiuk Manufacturing Custom Lower
- Spikes Tactical upper receiver
- Spikes Tactical Lothar Walther 7.5" 223 Wylde Barrel
- Milspec buffer tube
- DPMS low profile gas block
- Pistol length gas tube
- Double Star lower parts kit
- Magpul CTR Milspec stock
- DPMS Levang Linear Comp, as well as a Dlask XB1 on the way to see which performs better
- Magpul AFG on the way
- Full auto BCG

Need the FF Hand guard to finish the build :D

could you PM me with the ones you have seen on the EE? I've had a look but couldn't find anything that would suit my needs. I want a continuous upper rail.

I've been tempted to pull the trigger on the DD Lite Rail, but they are very pricy, but I'm guessing well worth it. I was hoping to find out what else is out there for options that would potentially be in a lower price point.
 
Would you reccomend going with a 7" (or close to), or a 9" rail? I'm not even sure if the XB1 will ever show up, the order has been "pending" for the past week haha :s

With the 9 inch rail my XB1 is about 3/5 covered by the rail. An 8 inch rail would be better to see more of the XB1 but the 8 inch rail is not as easy to find. 7.2 troy rail may show a little of the barrel with a gap between the end of the rail and the start of the F/H.
 
I placed an order on The Shooting Edge's website this morning for a Troy 7.2 TRX Standard Battlerail, but when they processed the order turns out they were out of stock :( haha.

Where did you find your Troy handguard?

Try the Samson Evolution rail from Fabrice at Fabsports.ca For a 7.5" barrel, I would buy the 9" rail. I'll post a photo to illustrate but it has no problem fitting over an XB1.

I just checked it out. Definitely something I'd be interested in, but unfortunately they only have the 7" version available by the looks of it :(
