need advice on leupold ert scopes

dose anybody own a ERT, and is it better than the leupold lrt.
any advice would be great. i shoot with a 8.5 x20 lrt.
is the extra money worth it for a 308?

I am not familiar with the 8.5-20, might be a few years old but with the front focal and the matched lenses of the newer ER/T you would gain a fair bit of clarity and image brightness when your near max magnification. 20 or 25 x magni. is really splitting hairs though.
