Need advice guys. I was offered a Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20x50 Illuminated Mildot on trade. About 4 years old and will be 3rd hand if I take it. Wondering about the cash value?

$900-1000 if in perfect shape. Much over that, and aggressive shopping for new ones are in order. Some retailers are truely delusional in what they are asking, but I judge new price by the lowest I can get, not the highest asked. 2/3s of the best new price seems fair.
