That looks great ... what solution did you wind up using?

I am sorry my post was not clear. I didn’t apply any rusting solution yet on the receiver. The blue color is simply a light effect of the the photo. I will come back when I have the receiver rust blued. I especially wanted to show with those pictures the laser engraved marking.

That laser engraving is amazing. Not sure if I missed it, but how was the barrel and the rest of the parts?

I am having a machinist making a special tool to disassemble the barrel from the jacket. Them I will be able to carry on with the metal restoration. Fortunately the barrel/jacket assembly are in pretty good shape.
