Any body out there know run accross or know where I can get a box or some cartridges for this rare calibre from winchester? Or loading dies etc. for 30-03 95 Winchester

I think you use 30-06 and the neck might be shorter. I think it was loaded with a different bullet weight than the '06 and thats why the change.
I have heard that '06 ammo works fine but it should be checked out for sure. If you do find '03 dies then '06 brass is what you use to form it.

Hi. Are you sure it's a .30-03? The '03 wasn't around very long. Mind you, that didn't stop Winchester from chambering 95's in the cartridge. Suspect a 95 in .30-03 will be somewhat of a collector's piece too.
Any .30-03 you find will be collector ammo. You won't find new factory hunting ammo or dies, etc.
However, the .30-03 is just a .30-06 with a 70 thou longer case neck. Same case dimensions otherwise. It used a 220 grain bullet at 2300 fps out of the 1903 Springfield.
You can shoot .30-06 out of an '03 with no fuss, but the accuracy may be poor due to the longer chamber. Sometimes that isn't a big deal. Especially if you get to shoot a Win 95 in the chambering.
You'd best have the headspace checked first too. .30-03 and .30-06 Win 95's are rumoured to be prone to bad headspace.

.30-06 brass will work; seating the bullet relative to the rifling lands is more critical than neck length.

The .30-03 chamber would be less than ideal for accuracy with '06 brass, but the upside is that with .070" of extra neck length in the chamber area means that you wouldn't have to worry too much about trimming cases.

Would necking up a 280 case (2.540") not get closer to the 30-03 length? Of course it would need full length sizing to push the shoulder back as well.

Waste of time and effort.
Like several have said, just use 30-06 amunition. If handloaded, seat bullets out further.

I used 30-06 brass for years sized for a .270 and they were short, accuracy was great.........................Harold
