Hi Gang.

I want to take my IPSC gun home with me to Nova Scotia for the holidays, so I can at least get some dry firing done, and I'd love to shoot with some of the east coast contingent.

Anybody have a match, in that time frame they could invite me to?

I'll be in Fall River, so anyhwere within a couple of hours of there would be great!

Cheers,

Dan

I don't know about any matches in that time frame, but maybe someone could invite you for "IPSC practice". A few Clubs have ipsc nights scheduled at the ranges.

Hm. I wonder if the CFO will provide an ATT to go for a "practise". Any club practises scheduled in that time frame?

IPSC1, you should offer a "course" over the holiday :)

my ATT for from NB CFO, for NS says any IPSC match and i think it does say practice (or it used to for sure), according to the attached IPSC event schedule. It also allows for at least 24hrs before and after events. I also have listed different places I might stay.

I don't see any reason for the CFO to not give you an ATT to reflect your travel time, as you will be visiting relatives. Maybe you don't feel comfortable leaving your firearms in Ontario? Maybe if you just tell the CFO that you are preparing for an IPSC event, and need to dryfire while you are visiting your relatives.

you poor poor easterners. you really should lobby for changes in your CFO's way of doing business.

Gentlemen

Read between the line of the Fed.. Reg's.. (if you have not. Get a copy and read them)

If you have an ATT to "An Approved Range" (anywhere) that is all you need to travel with in Canada. Educate yourselves and don't worry about the F*cking Province. Shoot your sport and enjoy!

For those of you that are about to jump on this post . "STOP" you are obviously quoting your provincial laws and reg's that don't hold Sh*t in Federal Court.

Cheers

damn, all this time we've been reading & interpreting provincial laws, we should have just asked you! What's your $/hr rate, & do you keep enough cash on hand to bail us out?
My ATT is issued by the Chief Firearms Officer of Ontario under the authority of the Firearms Act Statutes of Canada.
Under 'Conditions and Destinations' D) Authorization only valid in the Province of Ontario.
Exactly which Federal Court have you been sucessful in challenging this? Or are you just blowing smoke?

For those of you that are about to jump on this post . " DON'T STOP" you are obviously GETTING SOME BAD INFORMATION.
