Hey,,

Anyone in the Mississauga area willing to assist a brother in need. I cant get the front sight pins out of my DA556 (canada ammo )
I have had a buddy hold the barrel, heated it , penetrating oil,, ect ,, this sucker wont move.
I don't want to give up but have run out of options.

I can come to you, you can come to me , im willing to pay for your time.
I want to install a free floating hand guard on my rifle and these pins are a bit

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

might have to cut off the front site and install a new low profile gas block. Many people have had the same issues with China built AR's. they seem to use a large press to set them in and maybe heat them before. so almost impossible to get out again. Some have with lots of patience and time and a really big hammer and many punches. But to save time just get a cutting wheel on a dremel and be careful. cut half way and see if you can pry it apart so you don't cut into the barrel. the front sight will be destroyed.

It should be mentioned, those pins are tapered and only go in/out in one direction...at least the ones I just took out were.

Hand grinder and bench grinder purchased.... and yes delta ring and barrel nut have to come off
I'll have at her this weekend.....

Dremel ready for detail work

and on a side note,, dont get a 12 free floating barrel just because its the same length of the stock hand guard
or you will end up with an extra 2 inches that need to be added to cover the low profile gas block.
so now i order a 15 in quad rail sigh.
