need data for 357 Mag with a 152grn TC

I recently found a box of 1000 150-152 Truncated Cone projectiles sized at 0.3565-0357

after scouring my resources, I have had no luck finding relevant data.

Closest I found is Campro 158grn, which I think is a good reference point. As we know lighter bullets need more powder, I think the heavier bullet (~6 grns) should be roughly 5-7% less powder than what the 158 data would be.

so if I hypothetically use Blue Dot, I can use a starting load around 7.5 grains to 9.2grains it should be ok.

This will be for a lever action rifle, so pressures and max load isn't too much an issue.

Anyone have better data?

Any help would be appreciated

I haven't used blue dot very much other than working up a load in .357 for my revolvers. I do remember reading that it shouldn't be downloaded more than 10% below max. I'd probably start in the middle of the range for the campground 158's and work up to a few tenths over max as listed for the 158 campro's.

Do not understand your logic you state correctly that lighter bullet can use more powder but then come up with a lighter load than used with the heavier bullet i am confused?????

Same powder

lighter bullet will require more powder to make the same pressures as a heavier bullet with less powder
