Alright, so please don't judge me for asking this, as I am not some weirdo COD/playstation wannabe nut, or want all sorts of things because I see them in the movies etc.

I am simply curious: I was watching Killer Elite last night, and I saw this scene (pic below) - after researching, I still cannot figure out what scope De Niro has on his Galil.

Here's the screenshot:

Anyone have any idea what scope that might be?

Looks like a Hollywood special type dream. Not very practical I think. Looks like a spotting scope mounted on a rifle.

hah yea I had a feeling its a one-off hollywood "big enormous high tech hitman only issue sniper scope" type deal (with a bunch of other catch words in there :p)

I would imagine that being bigger than 65mm, which in itself isn't practical.

Oh well.... no cool looking scopes for me! Back to my sh!tty 40mm. :p

From what I remember he's making that shot at about a hundred yards (probably less) I'm surprised there's no ballistic computer tacked on to the side, lol because we all know how extreme bullet drop is at 100 yards with a sniper round.. ;)

LMFAO. I am surprised they didn't tack on a digital range finder display during the "in scope" camera view. LOL What made me giggle more was the fact that there's this massive long range scope mounted on a Galil SAR (the SHORTENED version of the galil, hence less accurate and not intended for long range shots, but close combat).

He didn't even bother to calculate wind drift..... pft.... what a noob. ;) haha

just once i want to look through that.

Looking through it isn't the issue, mounting it to clear the barrel, and still being able to rest your cheek properly on the stock is virtually impossible without an adjustable cheek piece. I have the 56mm version on my target rifle, and I would not mount it on a hunting rifle.

hmm, I've spent a lot of time behind a 50mm, I love them over a 40mm, don't ask me why.

I think the i just want to look through to see the field of view etc.
