need front metal for stock fore arm

I need the metal clip/cover piece for the front of the m14 stock...not even sure what you call it..but I need it.....not the clip for the hand guard..before everyone jumps on me I have better luck asking for parts in this forum...thanks

availlable from brownells , springfield armory stock ferrule.
or pirate from a chinese stock.
If anyone is stuck I can also assist you.

Not to hijack the thread but my chinese stock ferrule is crimped on my Chu wood stock. Can it be installed on another stock? How do you install a stock ferrule like the one on the pic in carbonrod's post ?

use a thin flat blade screw driver to pry up the indents to remove
on the platic stocks, you may need to encourage the movement by using a punch on the lower inside lip, tapping it forward to start loosening it up.

straighten the ferrule with flat nose pliers as needed.

reinstall to new stock with epoxy putty or jb weld and before the stuff hardens, use the centerpunch to push the metal back into the retaining recesses.
