The 1894 Winchester was produced from 1894 through the end of Winchester gun production in 2003. During the first 70-year period prior to 1964, there were over 2,500,000 guns produced, with a total of 5,000,000 produced to date.

There are many more informed people on this site than me, so I won't say much more except that condition and the model of the rifle are important.

If it has been modified in any way it probably has no collector value.

Is it a carbine or rifle?

Round barrel or octagon?

Sanded? Varnished? Reblued?

Photos?

as already mentioned condition, barrel length and style etc very important. Assuming 20" carbine round barrel good bluing/wood approx 400 to 450. up or down from there depending on condition and options etc. A picture or more in depth discription would help.

As they said, barrel length will help you start. 20-inch barrels are usually "carbine" models. 26 inchers are "rifle" models. Octagon barrels are more valuable, fold-down tang-mounted rear sights add value as well. Rifle models generally had crescent buttplates and forend caps. Carbines, fltter shotgun-style buttplates and barrel bands.
Unusual features such as custom barrel lengths, set triggers etc push the price up.
Carbines can still be found for a couple hundred bucks dependent on condition, but truly fine examples of any models, but especially custom-order rifles, can be worth considerably more.

The .30 WCF is "Winchester Center Fire", the original designation for what we now call the .30-30 Winchester.

thanks ofr the help and info I will try to get my daughter to help me put a picutre on

Rifles have 26 inch barrels and carbines are 20 inches. Rifles haven't been produced since the 1930's. Carbines have a flat buttplate in later years but the old ones have curved, wide buttplates. Rifles usually had crescent butts which are narrow and pointed on both ends though sometimes they were ordered with flat buttplates. Rifles have a metal cap on the forend while carbines have barrel bands around the barrel and magazine tube.
