hi all. I now have a ruger mini 14 older model 223 ,i am looking for another 223 in semi non restricted with so many ar 15 flatform rifles out there im totaly confused about what is avail. to mount a 4x12 scope on. newer rugers at around 1200.00 there must be something else offered in that price range any suggestions.

I could find nothing accurate near that price range in Canada. The Benelli reviews around accuracy and rear sight removal for scope mount were terrible, the Browning BAR Shortrac was the worst gun I ever owned, shot or witnessed being shot and the Ruger was a no go accuracy wise.
No other NR semis I know of that are in or near the 1200 range are accurate enough to hunt with at least coyote sized game.

I also have a VZ 58 with an NEA upper rail replacing the upper hand guard, with a red dot scope.
Mine also has an AR mag adapter.
