Looking to put a scope on my AR, it's a CMMG M4 LE. What would you guys suggest for around $600 bucks?
Found a Bushnell Elite 1.25-4x24 4a Illuminated, any thoughts? Will be used for target practice only.
Thanks!

Here is my suggestion:

I'm kind of partial to the Leupold VX-R Patrol 1.25-4x20 http://www.leupold.com/tactical/scopes/vx-r-patrol/
But that's mostly because there's a demo model set up at P&D Enterprises and I was able to monkey around with it. Never the less, it was an impressive piece of glass. Over budget unless you find a great sale. I'm sure other choices are just as good for less, but I just happen to have a fetish for this one.

I owned one of the bushnell ar/223 optics and for the money was a decent piece. Any of the Burris 1-4x I've owned and I've owned all of them(tac30, MTAC,XTR) where very high quality. The only one the bunch I didn't like was the leupold, not for it's lack of quality in the glass department but I found not having a true 1x on a dedicated AR type optic a big minus. Honestly at those ranges any of the 1-4x will work for you. Vortex, Burris, Bushnell, and even consider brands like Millett and the very nice offering from Hi Lux(CMR).

If you don't mind spending a bit more, consider the sightron SIII 1-7X24.

Amazing glass with a true 1X and 7X allowing for longer shots as needed. Lit reticle is a excellent feature in low light. LRMOA reticle allows for very quick adjust for windage and drop for longer shots.

I have a quick review on my dealer forum. Compared to many of similar mag scopes and the Sightron has some very obvious strengths.

Let me know...

does Sightron offer a zero stop yet?

No... not needed in the set up and intended use for this scope. short to mid range is where this excels and the reticle lets you adjust for drop very easily.

CQB scopes have no need for dialing elevation to hit the target.
