Need help badly with an old savage mark II... missing bolt.

Long story short.

I have a savage mark II BV, PRE E receiver, that I need a bolt for.

I know the pre E Receiver can be identified by the lack of "vent holes" in the barrel / receiver mating area, as well as most identifiable, the 1 and 3/8ths inch ejection port instead of the 1 and 5/8ths port on the later version E receiver. Among other identifying factors.

My question is where the heck can a guy look for a bolt?
I already have an ad in the EE but figured someone might know a source.

Try Grech Outdoors in Mount Forest, ON. Ask for John. They're a Savage warranty service shop (and gun shop) and there is a good chance he'll have an answer for you. I wouldn't be surprised if he asked you to send the rifle (or barreled action) to confirm.

On a side note...better to call than email...unless you like 1 word email replies. He's not one for small talk, but does know his stuff.
