Hey everyone....need help on some custom work for a Nickel Plated Norinco .45...

I would like to have my hammer, safety, barrel bushing, etc. gold plated, without breaking the bank.

I am also looking for nice faux pearl grips, that look similar to the ones on the Taurus in the pics below.

I would also order the parts, but Taurus are the only ones I've seen, and based on the other things I've read on the forums, I will have no chasnce of getting anything from them

Here is what I am trying to accomplish...

(PS - I don't really care about your opinion of this look, so please keep the posts relevant to what I am asking...

Any help on this (gunsmith or parts supplier is greatly apprectiated.

As well - I'll see if I can trade my GI style Nickel slide for one that is the new style (nickel plated) or possibly have my old one reworked, but then I think the nickel finish might have to be redone, and as I said, I'm not looking to break the bank, please advise if this is horribly expensive or not.

HERE'S THE SLIDE I AM LOOKING TO TRADE FOR...(MINE HAS THE VERTICAL SERRATIONS ON THE SLIDE INSTEAD OF THE SLANTED ONES)

Red Steel cannot be changed.

Gold plating or any other precious metal will not stick, adhere, or plate to Chi-com steel. It just won't stick. It peels.
Seems that the so-called Chi-com steel, [if it's really steel, more like zinc coated brass] has obstinate West-hating ingredients added to the recycled Cuba-com junk cars and Venezulian West-hating iron ore in the mix. Even electro-plating it will turn it red.
Try keeping it in a vat of 90% road salt and water for four weeks.
