I'm in the process of building another AR-15 upper for a newly acquired Noveske Gen 2 lower.
I wasn't really in the market for another AR but as most of you know once you have more than a couple there are usually enough spare parts kicking around to complete another rifle.
I have found all the needed parts in stock for both options (1) and (2) which is why I was thinking of completing this build right now that prices are low and there is availability.
I already have an 18" SPR and (2) 14.5" carbines which is why I was thinking of going shorter.
I already have in my possession a Noveske marked MUR upper receiver, Noveske marked BCM Gunfighter Mod4 charging handle, Noveske marked 5.56 BCG, Noveske KX5.
The 2 options running around in my head so far are:
(1) 8.5" Noveske Navy barrel with a Noveske KX5 which has been sitting on my bench collecting dust along with an 11" NSR handguard in 5.56 exactly like this photo by Stickman.
(2) 10.5" Noveske barrel in 300BLK which comes with a headspaced bolt, an 11" Noveske NSR handguard and a Surefire SFMB-762-5/8-24 brake.
