I have a Ricol 20 gauge over under shot gun. The top firing pin is broken. I can't find a replacement when I look for a Ricol firing pin, but I know these guns are made in Turkey and are often knock offs.

Does anyone know is there's a brand name shot gun that uses the same firing pin?

The Ricol uses Beretta chokes, not sure if that would mean there is a good chance the entire reciever would be a beretta knock off or not?

A gunsmith can fix/repair/replace a broken O/U firing pin easier than you can find a part.

True, but closest gun smith is 2.5 hours away. So 5 hours to go drop it off and than 5 hours to go pick it up.

If I can find a new pin, I can replace it fairly easily.

Umm the post office would likely mail the shotgun cheaper than you can drive there and it's likely closer.

I can fully understand why you would rather just purchase a replacement part. Most smiths have extended turnaround times. Not enough around any more for really fast service.

If you can find proper dimensions for the firing pin, your local machine shop can make one up out of a piece of drill rod.

The closest smith said he doesnt ship. He sounds like a fairly older man. Said hes a one man operation.

I gather hes busy enough not to need to worry about mailing and reciviing.

He did say he could do the job in a couple days though.

I think I found the compatible part. I'm told Savage Stevens 555 are exact matches.

Yes, and Grech Outdoors will sell you those pins for $30 each. And they are the same crappy pins that mire this otherwise great shotgun.

45stomp made them for me, he's on CGN. Likely be able to do it for less too, as he already figured out how to make the good firing pins with my shotgun.

I can't find his name through a post search on here. Is it spelt 45stomp for sure?
