I have a friend who owns a very old gallery gun. checking on the internet apparently these little rifles were manufactured specifically to be used as target rifles for indoor matches. it is chambered for 22 short only and has what could best be described as a partial semi auto single shot. it is a spring assisted blowback type of action, when fired the case is ejected and the bolt engages a hold open lever. the bolt is manually released by the lever after the shooter inserts another cartridge into the breech. rollmarks on the barrel identify it as an angiers per herstal-belgium breve patented jan 12 1909 cal 22, as best I can read it. it isn't worth very much as a collector, but it could make a nice little target or rodent rifle that doesn't bother the neighbors because it is so quiet. I need to locate some bolt parts for it which have been lost over the years. the barrel and stock are in decent condition, but it isn't a mint museum piece. I tried western gun parts and they had no answer for me , so any help or info would be much appreciated.

I gave the barrel another hard look and the letters "modele depose" are stamped on it a short distance from the other roll marks. given the crustiness of this critter, it is really hard to see some of the letters. does "modele depose" make any sense?

I believe that means "trademarked". its not a model name.

Flaubert, likely , some where a small rolling block, some a side lever, I had one like that , it was 9mm rim fire, and a matching handgun in 5mm rim, still have ammo.
Real nice wood , the rest not so much., but for what they where , made well enough , short range , light load, indoors
No parts, I don't think, what did you need for parts ? 22 CB would be O.K. , you can still buy them CCI makes them still, I see them at C.Tire of all places
The best place for there would be boxes of bits and pieces at gunshows.

Ditto! Few of these guns will make it to the parts dealers because they are so old and hard to identify. Chances are better with your own identification skills at the gun show tables.
