Hello to all willing to help.

First of all i dis/reassembled around 10 sks, but i'm now having trouble with one, the big issue is the one i have wont allow the trigger assembly to pop back into place. I have tried pulling it apart and putting it back together again and watching the videos online to see if i am doing something wrong.

This is not a different stock, it is all standard, all the characters on the stock, receivers and trigger groups ect. match. I NEED THE HELP!!!!

thanks

Make sure the trigger group is in its proper placement at the front end when you drop it in.. then push it in place. My 49 needs considerable force to lock it.

Best of luck.:)

First, make sure the safet is on and the reciever is fully seated into the stock, then hook the trigger group in and put the palm of your hand on the trigger guard. Push in and forward, with your other hand on the reciever cover. This way works best for me and makes the tightest trigger groups pop in quite easily

If you know which way the safety goes, just squeeze that sucka. Some of them can be a real mother the first couple of times. Turn it upside down and use a rubber mallet on the trigger guard while bracing the receiver cover, or squeeze it from both sides, pretending you are crushing something you hate.

is the magazine in it's proper place ..... don't just start bashing it . they go together fairly easily .

get the mag in place , pull the bolt back , then the mag should pop into place ... with the bolt still open .....

then release the internal catch holding the bolt open and let it slide forward ( slowly ) ..
you should not be able to pull the magazine body out now .....

now with the tirrger group , pull the hammer back if it isn't already , and put the safety on ......

i leave the floor plate on the mag open

slide the trigger group into it's spot next to the mag , then on the back of the trigger group line it up with the locking pin and firmly push downward on the trigger guard .

I had trouble with the catch for the trigger group not going well the first few times. I put it upside down on some wood blocks, made sure everything was lined up and used an awl to push the catch toward the barrel and then it set into position. After doing this a few times, the spring 'wore in' a little, and I can do it by hand now- the whole thing without tools.

Just an excuse to do it a few times. And then a few more times, and then a few more times.

I had the same problem with my first Chinese one. Once I had the trigger group in place, I had to pull the trigger group to the rear (towards the butt) while pushing down and it clicked right in. Hope this works for you.
