Need help for Winchester 95 appraisal

My father's friend is trying to sell this rifle. He's old and never really hunted with it.I would guess he has this firearm in his possession for the last 40 years.

I know very little about these firearms. Can someone help me please? I would like to get a fair price for him.

Hard to say, but I would say around $1500+ if it is in good working condition, with a descent bore, more if it is all original, and with a pristine bore, maybe even close to $3000?
That said I might be totally out to lunch !!

Agreed that it is rebarreled. May well have had other work done. Could be an excellent hunting rifle/shooter. I agree with Polkey's estimate.

Yup, came here to say the same thing. It's a user, but the value has been completely eliminated and the price will have to reflect that.
