Looking for some help to order some replacement bolt parts. I have located the parts but they are 'restricted for sale to a gunsmith'. I'm looking for a gunsmith willing to purchase the parts for me. I am more than happy to pay you for your time.

Thanks!

WGP's will sell those parts to a gunsmith who has agreed the gunsmith will be installing and fitting them.

I had that issue once with a savage sear. Ordered the part from Brownells instead...lol...

What parts do you need OP ?

Looking for bolt head assembly's for a Remington 783, they are similar to savage with the floating bolt head and barrel nut. I'm working on a switch barrel project and want a .223 and mag bolt head. I have done this before with a couple of savages, using prefit barrels and then Setting the headspace with go / no go gauges. I think the procedure should be identical on the 783.

When I needed a new bolt from Savage, a firm reminder that I am their customer, that I am more than willing to talk to anyone who will listen about their customer service, and that I take all responsibility for my work, was enough for them to send it to me, after their first sent me and had me sign and return, a liability waiver.

I also told them that I am a gunsmith who only works on my own guns, therefore I do not need to be licensed. It seemed it was all about the wording. Since Canada doesn't have much for a requirement for "licensed" gunsmiths, any tom, ####, or harry, could be a gunsmith, to some degree or another. ;)
