Question for the community...

I was gifted a small black and white patch with a carbine on it but before I sew it onto anything I wanted to make sure it doesn't have any meaning associated with it that I should know about and would prevent me for wearing it.20231215_100239.jpg

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thx

Out of curiosity I too would be interested in finding out if there is more meaning. It looks like an Enfield to me but from what I know and what I could find out, it might just mean that you are a gun enthusist?

It looks very similar in design to the Royal Canadian Army Cadet Bisley/DCRA shooting team badges, except they were on a green backing with the rifles stitched in yellow or red thread. Might be related to the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet shooting programs, given the white stitching on black, but can’t say with any certainty.

Have an identical patch but background is dark green and rifle & border is gold or yellow.

Source, unknown, though.

That's very interesting..maybe it really is just a "novelty" type patch then..? I've checked all the other suggestions and can't find anyone who uses a similar patch as they usually have 2 rifles crossed. Maybe I'll sew it my range bag lol.
