Need help identifying my AR upper

Hi all,

I have a miss match upper/lower AR I have a Bushmaster lower but I'm not sure what brand my upper is. There is a mark on the right side. Anyone know what brand it is?

Is there a raised "F" as well? If so, it was made by a company called Cerro Forge who makes a lot of uppers for different OEMs.

It's a Cerro Forge. Cerro Forge makes/made uppers for just about everyone out there (haven't seen many new ones lately). That said, how the upper was finished depends on the manufacturer. Some paint in black, some in grey, some add extra stampings, some do extra QC/QA, some paint rail marking numbers on top. It's hard to say with any certainty where the upper came from exactly.

It may have come off an Armalite originally. As mentioned before, Cerro Forge made uppers for just about everyone. This is why many of the top tier manufacturers add extra stampings or laser engravings to their firearms (or at least now they do).

they have used different letters over the years but they always use the raised keyhole mark.

Cerro Forge just forges the raw uppers, they don't finish machine them.
Could be finished/machined/made by anyone
