Hi folks, I can't find a website for the V-Bull (is that right? that might be why...) Remington M700 floorplate that uses AI mags. Or rather, for that matter, any other M700 floorplate kit that takes AI mags would be great too, even better if you have a line on one in Canada. Thanks!

Thanks to both of you, looking at the site now. :)

I have seen the V-Bull conversion up close in person and it is the SH*T!!!! It is Very Nicely made.
If I didn't already have an AICS chassis, I would go with one of V-Bull's conversions.

SKBY.

I've heard many good things. :) I'm the opposite though, I'm looking at a vbull kit because I already have a couple AICS's, and thus many AICS mags :p This would be for my version of a 'light' .308 custom M700 in a McMillan M40A1 with a 20" medium weight barrel, or if I cheap out an HS LTR stock. Interestingly, I'm topping this with my TA01-B, I figure it'll make an excellent optic for this application; walk-around-accurate-bolt gun.

PS, does service rifle allow bolt guns?

Service conditions.... any rifle any sight ;) Ok, I'd be too embarised to show up with my rem 700 with 10rd mags but under the DCRA rules it seems to be legal. Tigger weight limit still applies though.

HeadDamage:

I have shot the Service Rifle matches with these turnbolts:

1) Winchester Coyote .223 (about 7 in the mag for the rapid fire, lost a few points, though)
2) Winchester M70 .22-250 Detachable Box Magazine (4 rounders)
3) Remington M700 Police... wicked in Deliberates and Snaps, heavy on the rundowns
4) Sooooon, I'll be trying out my Reminton BDL .223 Synthetic with MagTech magazine modification that allows 8 in the magazine and 1 in the chamber. Just mounted your Bushnell Elite 3200 10X Mildot that you sold me a few months ago.

Cheers all,
Barney

Here are the pics of the new V-Bull Precision AI Mag conversion.

The Mag release is now an AR-15 type system, however the Mags will still work in the AICS & old V-Bull conversion.

Last one sounds slick Barney, good to know the scopes going to good use as well ;)

And thanks for the pics Ed and Skullboy, I wasn't aware of the new AR style.

Hmm... A light bolt action with a 4X ACOG, hardly 'sniper style', but I see...

Unless you are shooting a military issued type general service rifle (IE, Lee Enfield, Springfield 1903, etc), it will be VERY frowned upon.

We went through this with the Victoria PD ERT Sharpshooters acouple of years ago ay one of the Service matches.

OK, now I just need to ACOG an Enfield :p I have an Isha .308 that would do nicely...
