I have a wonderful folding stock M1 Carbine (plainsfield) not the real WW2 carbine. Sadly! Anyway, today while shooting some very expensive ammo, can you believe $25 for 50 Privi !!! The perforated metal hand guard flies off to another part of the range! Turns out the "band spring" holding the barrel band in place snapped off it little hook. So, I need to find these parts and Marstar listed them as out of stock.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Numrich or Sarco likely will have the parts.

Getting them here might be another matter.

Tried your local gunsmith? It's amazing what some of those guys can dig up.

you cant get them shipped to canada the us will deny export of ANY m1 carbine part Ive tried in the past and the exportres have all told me us state depart says NO

Theres a guy here on CGN that has lots of M1 Carbine parts, you can probably find him be searching for m1 carbine oilers in the EE.

"...deny export of ANY M1 Carbine part..." Yep. The Carbine is on the restricted for export list.
"...Plainsfield..." Plainfield's will take military issue parts with no fuss. You need the handguard? The handguard retaining parts are part of the barrel band and receiver. Which one broke?
A manual with an exploded drawing can be had here. http://stevespages.com/pdf/plainfield_m1_carbine.pdf
Try Western Gun Parts.
