Need help making decisions on new rifle.

Hello, I'm buying a rifle but can't decide. I have my Rpal so it's not a issue. I was looking at Xrc, Tavor, Ruger 556, norico 556, or even a vector. Any ideas? I plan on saving up to $2500.

You are a bit all over the place in your price range. You need to ask yourself what you want to do with your rifle. Range only action games or woods plinking. What price range you are willing to spend. What accessories are you looking for? Is accuracy important? You have mostly .223/5.56 listed except for the Vector. Your budget allows for most of these guns except maybe a BNIB Tavor. You need to check out the info on here and narrow down what you want the firearm for and proceed from there.

HK SL-8. Or a mid-high range AR like a DD, Colt or Knights Armament. .223 commercial ammo runs almost $0.50/ rd in BC. If you want cheap and available, 7.62x39 is the best deal but, out of an SKS, not super accurate!

Putting a cheap optic on a $2500 rifle is like slamming your pecker in a car door.
You only do it once.

I would buy a solid mid range AR and get a good optic and the trimmings. Especially if you don't have a restricted yet.

AR= $1000. Fore grip, light, trigger upgrade, sling=$800, Eotech + 3x magnifier= $1000. Total $2800ish. Add $500/1000 ammo. Go shoot!
if you shop wisely or don't need all the accessories, you can get all for a lot less. You can also sub out the holo sight for a Sightron or Vortex scope.

you have an RPAL so get a nice AR15. If accuracy is what you are after the DD MK12 already posted is your best choice

Get either a DD V7 or a Stag Model 3 and still have money left for a nice Vortex 1-4 scope

I'm a big fan of Daniel Defense but if you have 2500$ for the rifle only and are willing to spend a little bit more to be the cool guy at the range look at the KAC.

The DD is where I would put my money if I wanted to stay sub $2k. You could put a Geissele trigger in and mount a 1-4 in an ADM QD Scout for right around $3k total.

I was planning this and then fell in love with the Knights SR-15 Carbine E3 Mod1. Mounted a Vortex PST 1-4 in the ADM and swapped the grip for right under $4k. I love shooting this gun, everything from prone out to 400 yds to CQB matches, even just slamming plates at 100yds in every position I can think of.

I avoided AR's for a long time, now it's my most used range rifle!
