Need help mounting Red Dot on Stevens 200

I'm trying to mount a TruGlo Red Dot on a .243win Stevens 200 for my 9 year old son. The problem is that with the short mounting of the Red dot the standard two piece bases aren't close enough together. I think that possibly a couple Weaver #402 extended bases or a Weaver #420 one piece base may work. If these would work I can't find a dealer that has them in stock.
So I guess my questions are:
Any one know if these would work and also where I might find them OR what other options might work to mount a red dot.

you could check ebay? I've seen a few bases on there. they are usually no name though, so i have no idea on the quality of them, but the price is usually low enough that I'd try it.
