To field strip, clear the pistol and remove the magazine, slide foreward. Push in the recoil spring plug beneath the barrel bushing at the front of the slide. Looking at the muzzle, rotate the bushing clockwise. This will allow the plug and the spring to emerge from the front of the slide. DON'T LOSE CONTROL, the spring is compressed. You can remove the spring. To the rear of the hold open cut on the left hand side of the slide, you will see a small cutout. Draw the slide back until this cutout is over the lug on the top of the slide stop. Push out the slide stop. The slide, barrel and recoil spring guide can be slid foreward off the frame. Rotate the barrel bushing anti-clockwise and remove it. Pull the barrel foreward out of the slide. You will have to tip the link foreward. If you want to remove the firing pin and its spring, push the firing pin foreward and slide the firing pin retainer out, remove the firing pin and spring. The extractor can now be removed to the rear.
To strip the frame, make sure the hammer is foreward, and push out the mainspring housing retaining pin. You will need to use something as a punch, and give it a tap. Slide out the mainspring housing. #### the hammer, and move the safety toward the safe position. Pull and wiggle, and the safety will come loose, releasing the grip safety. Remove the three legged trigger/sear/grip safety spring. Push out the hammer pin, remove the hammer. Push out the sear pin, remove the sear and disconnector. These oins remove from right to left; they have heads. Note how the sear and disconnector interlock. There is a spring and two plungers in the housing on the left of the frame. This housing is rivetted in place from the inside. If the ejector needs to be removed, drive out its retaining pin. The mainspring housing can be stripped, by removing the pin, but be careful, the spring is under compression. Remove the 4 grip screws, and the grips will come off. Don't remove the bushings, they are internally staked in place.
Reassemble in reverse order, but there are some tricks. You will probably have to fiddle around a bit.
When you are reinstalling the slide stop, don't scratch the frame.
I should check the link, and see what mistakes I made.
