My grandfather recently gave me one of his shotguns and i cant find the serial number the only numbers that i can find that are on all 3 pieces of the 12 gauge side by side is 1 in a circle then WE does this mean anything

I have one. Its too old to have a serial number. When your Grandfather registered it he would have been given a sticker serial number along with the certificate from CFC. It should have been placed on the receiver. Ask him maybe he misplaced the sticker or its with certificate.
