Need help picking a shotgun retailer!

I need help finding a nice cheap shotgun. I've had a chance with friends to fire a few different types. I've settled on a mossberg 500 pump action. 12ga.

I've never even set foot inside a gun shop before. I don't even know where I would find one near Ottawa. I don't mind ordering online, so my question is this - who offers the cheapest 500?


Any advice or links would be greatly appreciated :)
 
Good place to start is the ad's at the top of the page. I"ve bought from a few of them and it couldn't be smoother. You can also search for the shotgun you want in the ee under shotguns. There are some dealer ads in there as well.

Then there are the big box stores, and not to mention there's got to be a privately owned sporting goods store close to you. IMO they're always worth supporting as well.
 
Check out some of the supporting dealers at the top of the page. If you don't mind a bit of a drive Elwood Epps is probably one of the best retailers in Canada as far as I know. They will ship to you as well.

A suggestion would be to get a multi-barrel combo when you buy one as they aren't too much more money and you will probably want a different barrel down the road.(eg. short barrel for bush carry, long vent rib for bird, med rifled for slug gun)
 
Thank you all for the advice! I'll check all the sponsors and see what ellwood has to offer. It's funny I've driven by that place maybe a hundred times but now that I'm living elsewhere it'll be a 7 hr drive. HA ha ha.
