Need Help Picking the Right .22 LR

Golpher is spelled golfer. I shoot GOPHERS. Bit of a difference there. No, 20 yrds isn't a true test, but if you can't do one hole groups there, fifty or a hundred isn't going to be much to speak of. Go over to Rimfire Central, post to the members on the CZ forum that their guns won't cut it as far as accuracy goes. See how that works out for you. They also had a go-round with keyboard shooters a while ago.

Yes, one hole at 20 yards is a good indication... but I have a lot of rifles; old, new, cheap expensive; and with the right ammo, each and every rifle I own will do just that. 100 yards is the real test. Three of my rifles will shoot under 1" from a bench rest at 100 yards; when I do my part; one is a Norinco, the other also Chinese is a Scorpio (with scopes, and both have been bedded and trigger work done and both are very ammo specific), the other rim-fire is a CZ 455 .17HMR right out of the box; I will be bedding it, and may polish the trigger, and install a slightly softer trigger spring. The others? Don't know, I never tried; I'm sure that some will, maybe most... with the right ammo.

What I do know is that I am very impressed with CZ rifles after only owning the .17 a short while, my next rifle will be either an Ultra Lux or Lux 2 or an Ultra Match.
