Speaking of model differences, Inglis Browning has an internal extractor whereas on certain ranges the commercial Brownings it is external. Consult a good parts diagram and have the serial number handy.

I'm not 100% sure, but I would try a bic lighter for the spring.
I've used them for a number of things.
