Any Winchester 94 fans or experts out there that can help me out with this? My wife has a pre-64 Winchester 44mag that she had lent to her brother years ago. Finally got it back but it is missing the left hand cartridge guide. Are all the cartridge guides caliber specific or are they all the same. Most exploded parts views only show one part # but some parts site show different for 30-30 but I haven't found one yet listed for 44 mag left hand side and most US sites won't ship to Canada. Anybody have any advise or even better that part? I am hoping to restore the gun for my wifes birthday.

Compare the right side with a known Post 64 cartridge guide for the 30-30. I had a 44 (94) in the past and if memory serves, the lifter was the biggest difference, having a small protrusion on the left side to aid the shorter cartridge into the chamber.

My bad, thanks to all that pointed out no such thing as pre 64 win94 in 44 mag. Not sure how I managed to misread the winchester dates of mfg so bad. Anyway thanks again, that should make it easier to get the part.
you are correct, not pre 64. serial number places it as 1978
