Picked up a old single shot 12 gauge at a auction and would like some info on it.

It has the word Nitro on right side of the barrel and markings on the left side and under the barrel.

It looks kind of like a Victor Ejector. But I'm not sure.

we looked that up and I dont think thats what it is, the Victors seem to all say victor ejector cresent arms blah blah blah and they dont have any of the military style markings like this does.

only words on the whole gun are NITRO written on the barrel that you can kinda make out on the last picture of the first post and first pic on the second post.

I had a look in my FRT reference discs under markings. I went to the Crown section. The only Crown /W marking is for the Netherlands. It calls this a Dutch Military mark. The W denotes Wilhelmina.( What ever that is?) Producer shows as FN-Browning. It also states this mark is found on some Mauser rifles. Will keep looking though. Bob

The Dutch Crown over W has a more elaborately drawn crown, and there is no Dutch Crown over U. I am pretty certain that those are old communist era East German markings.

The Crown over W is a choked barrel proof mark, and the Crown over U is an inspectors mark. There should be a Crown over N for nitro proof, but I don't see it.

I like the sculpted frame. I have no idea who made the gun.
